NO NO NO. No way its Ola or Uber eating at the Millennials. Too naive.
No way its because of the huge production as some owners seem to say. Large production doesn’t show negative growth figures!
WHEN YOU HAVE 2 BRANDS, MG AND SELTOS TAKING CLOSE TO 50,000 YES, 50000 BOOKINGS in less than 3 months, to say the Millennials are eating away through Ola etc is bizarre
They have completely missed creating a new audience against the ‘beating the dead horse’ story. Just chasing the same set of people with the same product…Bound to fail.
Missing to create a BRAND POSITIONING of a different kind to that audience. An audience which is looking to stand out, represent a persona through self-expression, the spirit of freedom, passion and adventure. Totally missed out.
EXACTLY what KODAK and NOKIA failed to do. INNOVATION. The CONNECTED CAR. No great rocket science. But everyone missed it.
BELIEVE ME, even if the GST is reduced to 0%, things won’t change, unless these are taken care of.
ITS NEVER ABOUT PRICE. IT IS THE BRAND POSITIONING THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
